Dear subscribers,
Welcome to the launch of our first PRO (Patient Reported Outcomes) field newsletter. As many of you will know, the PRO or QOL field is exploding, we are growing at such a rapid pace that its hard to keep up with all the exiting and new developments. So I am very excited try to capture these new ideas and to be be sharing these in light of my experiences and knowledge with you in this new venture. Having worked in the EORTC for 25 years, developing new measures, and clinical trials, I am ready to add a personal touch to the PRO field and share my insights with you.
The PRO field is constantly evolving, and my focus will be on measurement and cancer clinical trials. As someone who has worked on PRO measurement development and in the clinical trial field, I hope to provide you with an insider's view on the topic. I will be discussing key topics in QOL, and will be questioning where we should be going in the PRO or Quality of Life field.
This newsletter will be frequent, with a monthly release at a minimum, and perhaps more often if I can find the time. This space will be dedicated to the latest developments and topical debates in the field. You can expect a critical reflection on new developments, and sometimes topical analysis of where we are going and what we are doing right and wrong in the PRO field.
As a subscriber, you will be getting a focused, monthly newsletter that is free of charge, and you can unsubscribe whenever you want. The benefits include receiving analysis of the topics of the month, a critical review in short hand, and maybe new links to new vidoes of topical issues.
l reflection on new developments, and a chance to benefit from my three decades of experience in the PRO field.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I am looking forward to sharing my insights and discussing the latest developments with you.
Best regards,
Andrew Bottomley
Site looks good. Eager to see how it develops. So many issues need work.
